Poppy Seed Dressing

A simple dressing, perfect for summer salads with fresh fruits. imported from Recipe Import

Ingredients

2 tablespoons
poppy seeds
1⁄4 cups
sugar or honey
1⁄3 cups
white or apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons
mustard powder
1
onion, grated (yellow! )
1 cup
olive oil
  pinch
salt and fresh ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Grate the onion and save the juices.
  2. Whisk the honey, vinegar, mustard powder, onion and juices together. In a thin stream, add the olive oil while whisking to create an even mixture.
  3. Add the poppy seeds and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Toss with 4 cups of washed and dried leafy greens (a mix of red leaf and spinach is great). Garnish with an assortment of salad veggies, washed, peeled and chopped (such as cucumber, tomato, carrot). Fresh fruit like mandarin oranges and strawberries are also nice.
